At the moment, I’m part of NBC Universal’s Page Program, learning how to apply product thinking to different realms of the media industry. The Page Program is a rotational learning and development program through which I’m gaining exposure to many different facets of NBC’s operations, including business growth, marketing, and TV production. I’ve learned how to balance stakeholder preferences and business goals when making decisions, as well as how to analyze engineering feasibility versus design impact when defining a product vision. Likewise, I’m learning how experts at NBC produce television every day from inside 30 Rock, and how product thinking applies to TV production — from leading competitor analyses for Shop TODAY, to designing graphics for Saturday Night Live.
